We’ve just come back from a long weekend in Haarlem (the town itself certainly deserves a separate post, which we’ll come later this week) and it proved to be an ideal location for “hunting down” all kinds of bike inventions. So now you can not only read about all the ingenious ways of transporting children on a bike or of decorating them with flowers, baskets and garish paints, you can see examples of all of these in my newly added The Bikes of Haarlem Gallery (to be found in the Creative Photo Library). Since the moment I published the feature about bikes in Holland I’ve felt that the story is not complete. While I did write about all the Dutch creative ideas when it comes to bikes, I did not have the photos to illustrate them all – but now I finally do.
