And yes, I did get a chance to take some golden-coloured autumn photos – at the park grounds of the Duivenvoorde Castle (www.kasteelduivenvoorde.nl) in Voorschoten (next to The Hague). Surprisingly this lovely estate is not listed in any of the tourist guides and I have a distinct feeling that we were the only non-Dutch visitors there, but the walk around the park was beautiful – the mansion itself is charming and reflects picturesquely in the small lake, the trees did not disappoint with their range of gold and red hues, and the sky stayed almost unnaturally blue for this time of the year.
So remember – even though autumn tends to be the gloomy part of the year, at least on our hemisphere, you can still get a chance to be outdoor-creative – see the photos below for inspiration!
