I have to admit, I never liked wearing gloves when I was a kid – actually, I loathed it - and I kept loosing them constantly, but I think that’s because there was no Accessorize available back then ;-) So if you want to turn wearing gloves into pleasure which defies hostile low temperatures, I recommend these!
Remember the cute scarves from last week? I think I forgot to mention that they come in sets with equally cute, colourful and eye-catching gloves :-) I have to admit, I never liked wearing gloves when I was a kid – actually, I loathed it - and I kept loosing them constantly, but I think that’s because there was no Accessorize available back then ;-) So if you want to turn wearing gloves into pleasure which defies hostile low temperatures, I recommend these!

And it’s official now – the Autumn has arrived. Not only does the calendar say so, but the signs of it are everywhere – the leaves are turning gold and red, pumpkins of all kinds have become ubiquitous, wild flowers on trees and bushes have turned into fruits. Here are a few picturesque examples spotted with my camera - for inspiration :-)
I’m always on the lookout for fun T-shirts, either with funny sayings printed on them or other eye-catching prints. While extremely popular in countries such as UK or USA, it’s not that easy to find one here – maybe because the English language is perfect for creating short and ingenious pieces of “T-shirt wisdom.” The same sentence translated into German would be 3 times longer, and in Polish 3 times less funny… Anyway, that’s why I was so glad to see this year’s collections of T-shirts by New Look – every few months a new range arrives in store, and you can find some really original pieces. I just had to buy the red one with the giraffe – it was a must ;-) Here are a few more examples from their website, and you’ll find more in every New Look store. Good hunting! We’ve all been told many times by now that for the sake of our environment we should cart out shopping in eco friendly bags. Whether from biodegradable plastics, organic cotton or other materials, they tend to be rather dull in design – but recently I’ve come across a series of bags which are not only eco friendly but also colourful, funky and original in their graphic design. Let me introduce you to the Envirosax®, a reusable shopping bag which catches the eye ;-) There are a few ranges available of these bags, e.g. Flora or Retro Graphic design, and I think the choice is wide enough for everyone to find at least one which they really like. Below are my fovourite few, and you can read more about these at www.envirosax.com. So let’s not only carry our shopping ecologically, but also creatively ;-) And I'm back from Rome! The trip was amazing, even though right now my legs hurt all over from the dozens of kilometers we’ve walked for this past week ;-) The Italian capital is not only a city full of impressive monuments and sights, but also a place with unique atmosphere. You can wonder aimlessly for hours, explore the charming side streets and hidden piazzas, and stumble upon a major sightseeing attraction every 15 minutes without even consulting your map. And the food… incredible!
I’ll be posting more about Rome soon, but in the meantime something for those who are temporarily stranded in a much colder climate – same as me. Here is a series of scarves which not only will keep your neck warm, but also will cheer up every coat and jacket with a splash of colour. I’ve fallen in love at the first sight with the one made up entirely from pompons, even though I doubt it’ll be effective at keeping me warm ;-) The scarves are all by Accessorize, and you can find more on this website. Enjoy! The city of Rome And I will be gone for a few days again - tonight I'm flying for a week to Rome. I'm planning to explore as much as possible, take in all the famous sights the city has to offer (which, of course, means take pictures of as many things as possible ;-) and eat lots of the amazing gelato ! Keep your fingers crosseed for my trip, and I'm planning to come back with a lot of new material for my blog at the end of next week. I've been pretty busy the last few days since my parents came to visit. One of the things we did was go to a rock concert - the one by Tarja Turunen, the ex-voice of the Finnish band Nightwish. And – not surprisingly – the concert was incredible! She has an amazing, strong and well-trained voice of an opera singer, and is not afraid to experiment with it. This, against the background of strong, dynamic hard rock music with gothic elements, results in a combination which is unique and sends a thrill down your spine. Plus she’s amazing at establishing a rapport with the audience – who love her immediately – and seems to be a natural on the stage. So if you ever get a chance to go to her concert – by all means, do! Here is one of her songs which she sung at the very end – “Until my last breath.” Enjoy! |
