he town of Krynica Morska, where we’ve recently stayed for a weekend, was surrounded by this kind of fairy-tale forest. And of course when I wandered through it, I had my camera with me, so here are a few up-close shots of a beautiful forest which has finally woken up after the winter slumber.
I love forests - especially the ones that look wild and overflow with abundant greenery. Who doesn’t? And Spring is probably one of the best times to go for a long walk through one of them – everything looks so fresh and alive, birds are singing and the mosquitoes haven’t woken up yet ;-)T

And I’m back! I have another super-busy week behind me, so I’ve neglected The Creative Life a bit, but I promise I’ll make it up to you :-) And I have a very good excuse – I’ve been working on a new project – a blog which combines my two major passions – floral work and photography. I’m finally launching it today – so I’m officially inviting you to visit FotoFlorystyka! This blog is in Polish, but it’ll be photo-heavy as well, so if you’re a florist, a flower designer, a passionate gardener or you simply love flowers – you’ll find something for yourself there. Why have I started it? Well, I’ve been living in Poland for about a year now, and the more I have to do with the floral industry here, the more I see that the topic of taking photos of one’s floral work is being awfully neglected. And it’s just so frustrating to see how the beauty of an incredible flower arrangement goes to waste, since its photos are far from capturing it. At the same time, I’m in a unique position to understand both worlds – as an experienced photographer, and a florist-in-training. So there is a need, a void, and I’ve an ambition to fill it… Where will it lead? I have no idea… But please, keep your fingers crossed for me, and visit FotoFlorystyka as often as you can, and add it to the pages you like! Tulip exhibition at the Castle in Malbork Remember yesterday, when I wrote that we didn't go straight home, but did some sightseeing on the way? Well, we went to visit the Castle in Malbork, a medieval fortress built by the Teutonic Knights. Till today, it's one of the largest and most impressive gothic castles in the world - but I'll write more about it later this week. Once we arrived, a nice surprise was waiting for us - it turned out that on this very weekend a Tulip Exibition was taking place. So today I'd like to invite you to my coverage of this event, which you'll find here - those of you who speak Polish, can both read the text and see the photos, and those who do not can concentrate on the latter ;-) Enjoy! This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar.
Hi everyone, I'm back from my romantic weekend :-) It was a long journey yesterday, since we did some more sightseeing on the way, but we finally got home yesterday evening.
The get-away was great, Krynica Morska off-season is a perfect place for a relaxing break - if you feel like abandoning for a few days everything city life has to offer. In return, you get the sea, beach, forests, lake and generally a lot of nature. Before I have time to write something more, here is a peek preview of a few shots from this area of Poland: And a change of plans again - my husband is "kidnapping" me for a romantic weekend at the seaside, to a small town of Krynica Morska, which is supposed to be a very picturesque one. We're leaving in about an hour!!! So please keep your fingers crossed for a good, sunny weather this weekend, and hopefully I'll get many reasons to take my camera out of its bag ;-) And I'm back :-) And I have quite a few days of not-blogging to make up to you... I'm starting today, with one last post about Easter :-)
I guess every country has its own traditions concerning Easter, but quite a few many cultures in Europe believe in an Easter Bunny, which brings children small treats and presents on Easter Saturday or Sunday. And in Poland we believe that in order to get the Bunny to be generous, we need to leave for him a special nest on a window sill, filled with grass or hay, where he'll be comfortable leaving the presents (and probably taking a short break ;-). And that's also one of the reasons why a nest has become a popular theme in Easter decorations - here are my 3 ideas for it, which you can use as inspiration: I'm still not back at home, but I managed to get hold of a cumputer with Internet access for a moment, so I'm publishing a few photos I've prepared last week :-) And yes, I do realize that Easter is officially over now, but there'll be another one in a year, plus I guess everyone still has some Easter decorations at home ;-)
So here is an idea for an Easter wreath, because why should wreaths be made only for Christmas? ;-) I've come up with it last week, when I needed an Easter gift for my husband's family and I knew it'll have to last for quite a few days. So here it is, a cute, non-wilting, fuzzy Easter wreath, and I'm hoping to start a new trend here, so help me out! And a third idea in the series of egg-tray Easter decoration, a cute, simple piece of Spring for your table :-)
I really like the idea of turning drab-looking egg-trays into Easter decorations with high prettiness and cuteness factors ;-) So of course once I started to experiment, i couldn't stop at one... So here's another version:
